Our Venue

Our wedding will be at a winery, Vrede en Lust, from Dec 27-30, 2025.

Vrede en Lust is nestled in the Drakenstein Valley, between Paarl and Franschhoek. It’s in the heart of the Cape Winelands, but remote enough that we won’t have a curfew!

The name Vrede en Lust means Peace and Delight. Founded in 1688, it’s one of the oldest farms in South Africa. We’re excited to share this part of the country with you!

Arriving in South Africa

For guests traveling from outside of South Africa, we recommend landing at Cape Town International Airport. There are direct flights from several hubs including NYC, Washington DC, Atlanta, and London.

We highly recommend getting a SIM card at the airport (or getting an eSIM beforehand) if you don’t have roaming data! Please also make sure that you have WhatsApp installed on your phone.

Getting to Vrede en Lust

Vrede en Lust is about 60km (45 min drive) from the airport. Uber is available, but please let us in know in your RSVP if you’d like us to arrange transport for you! In South Africa we recommend using Uber Black.

Transport in the Region

You are welcome to rent a car (there is parking at Vrede en Lust), but rideshares like Uber are also widely available.

Vrede en Lust is also well-connected to other wineries thanks to the Franschhoek Wine Tram!
